NHW cadets and gap year students

If you are a regional student who has moved away from home to study, Northeast Health’s cadetship program gives you the opportunity to undertake paid work in a field related to your study.

To be eligible for the program you need to be:

  • Studying full-time
  • Studying in a field relevant to health (clinical or non-clinical)
  • Studying away from home.

We offer up to 3 summer cadetships each year. These positions are advertised in October and work contracts start in December or January during the students semester break or gap year.

If you are a successful applicant, you will join the Northeast Health team as a Junior Clerical Officer working a total of 24 hours per week for the duration of your contract.
