Important Information for Patients, Clients & Visitors

To help us keep our patients, carers, families and staff safe we are limiting visitors and people attending appointments at Northeast Health Wangaratta.
Visitors to Northeast Health are restricted except for:

Visiting adult patients and accompanying adult clients to appointments:

  • Visitors and support people are permitted where support cannot be provided by our staff such as language support, disability support, delirium and psychological wellbeing.
  • Following approval, one (1) visitor per patient during visiting hours if the patient is not in isolation and physical distancing can be maintained.

Visiting hours (for above purposes only):

  • 12:00pm – 2:00pm
  • 5:00pm – 7:00pm

Maternity Services & Clinics:

  • One (1) parent/guardian, partner or support person
  • Permitted visitors are not restricted to visiting hours.

Paediatric & Special Care Nursery patients (under 18 years):

  • Two (2) parents, guardians or carers per patient where physical distancing requirements can be maintained.
  • Permitted visitors are not restricted to visiting hours.

End-of-life visits:

  • Patients/residents are restricted to two (2) visitors at one time.
  • There are no time limits and no daily limit on visits.

Entry points:

If you must attend Northeast Health please use the following entry points only:

  • Main entrance (Green Street)
  • Emergency Department entrance (Green Street)
  • Community Care Centre main entrance (Clark Street)

All visitors must wear a mask unless an exemption applies.

All visitors must check-in using the QR code* and pass the entry screening questions.
*QR code does not work in Services Victoria app, please use your phone camera to scan code or ask a staff member for help.

Exceptions to restrictions are approved on a case by case basis.
